Christopher Bronk Ramsey
Professor of Archaeological Science
Much of Christopher’s current research is directed to improving radiocarbon as a method for quaternary research. He is a member of the international INTCAL committee that oversees the calibration of radiocarbon.
Director, Institute for Science, Innovation and Society
Steve’s research interests include: the relationship between nature and society as mediated by science and technology; management of environmental and technological risk; climate change and sustainable development; governance of emerging technologies. He is also Co-Director of the Programme on the Future of Cities and Co-Director of the Oxford Geoengineering Programme.
Professor of Physics
Peter investigates fluid dynamical processes underpinning our understanding of the circulation of atmospheres and oceans. His group develops and exploits climate models of various planets within the Solar System and beyond, with particular emphasis on quantifying dynamical transport processes, atmospheric predictability and other nonlinear dynamical phenomena.
Lecturer in Chemistry
Grant’s research interests include the development of ultrasensitive absorption methods for trace gas detection, including VOCs and greenhouse gases. He is also pursues research into the optical and chemical properties of aerosols.
