Laure Zanna

Associate Professor of Climate Physics

Laure is interested in climate dynamics and large-scale ocean circulation; climate variability, predictability and prediction; role and response of the ocean in regional and global climate change; interaction between climate and the carbon cycle. She uses a hierarchy of numerical models, advanced analytical, numerical and statistical methods and available observations.

Marcia Zilli

Postdoctoral Research Assistant in Climate Dynamics

Marcia focuses her research mostly on the South American Convergence Zone (SACZ) and on the South American Monsoon System (SAMS), responsible for the largest part of precipitation over tropical Brazil. Marcia is interested in understanding the mechanisms related to these systems and to extreme precipitation events associated with them, as well as how dynamic and thermodynamic changes caused by climate change are affecting them.
