Professor of Physical Oceanography
David’s research aims to deepen understanding of the global ocean circulation and its impact on climate through the use of simple mathematical models, advanced computational models and observations.
James Martin Senior Fellow
Constance’s research examines forest governance and its intersection with climate policy. This includes comparative studies of evolving environmental and social standards, safeguards and policies for forest product production, forest carbon sequestration, and Reducing Emissions from Deforestation and Degradation (REDD+).
My personal interests lie within the field of Quaternary environmental research, particularly within tephrochronology, palaeoecology and their applications in reconstructing and dating past climate events in Europe and Asia.
