Mohammad Mortazavi-Naeini

Mohammad’s research is to develop water system models for the Thames basin and on a national scale as part of the MaRIUS. The long-term goals are to assess vulnerability of different users to drought events in presence of deep uncertainty caused by climate change.

Geoff Nicholls

University Lecturer in Statistics

Geoff teaches probability, statistics and applied mathematics. He is interested in developing new methodology and algorithms for statistical inference. He provides mathematical support for scientific research in a wide range of fields.

Sarah O’Keefe

DPhil Researcher

Sarah is exploring the role anthropogenic greenhouse gas emissions play in changing the risk in developing regions, based on an analysis of climate scenarios, hydrological impacts and resulting damage estimates.

Sophy’s research will be working to improve the parameterisation of the ocean biogeochemical model called MEDUSA, using recently developed mathematical optimisation techniques.
