Professor of Geosystem Science
Myles examines how human and natural influences on climate contribute to observed climate change and risks of extreme weather and in quantifying their implications for long-range climate forecasts.
Head of Catastrophe Risk Financing
Patrick develops quantitative methods for forecasting and risk analysis using statistical techniques to combine information from climate models, numerical weather prediction and historical observations. Applications include wind power generation, energy demand, catastrophe modelling and the economic impacts of climate change.
Knowledge Exchange Research Fellow
Having previously worked at UKCIP in developing support mechanisms for UKCP09, Pete has returned in a broader capacity to support knowledge exchange and stakeholder engagement with the wider climate community at the University.
