Pirta Palola is a postdoctoral research fellow in INET Oxford, working on the Macroeconomics of the Seventh Carbon Budget (MacroCB7) project at the Smith School of Enterprise and the Environment. The MacroCB7 project applies a state-of-the-art macroeconomic agent-based model to assess the macroeconomic and distributional impact of the UK’s Seventh Carbon Budget. In her research, Pirta employs cutting-edge techniques in Bayesian inference, machine learning, remote sensing, and spatial data analysis. Coming from a multidisciplinary background in biology and economics, Pirta has a deep interest in the multidisciplinary study of complex adaptive systems.
