Marcia Zilli

Marcia's research is focused mostly on the South American Convergence Zone (SACZ) and on the South American Monsoon System (SAMS), responsible for the largest part of precipitation over tropical Brazil. Marcia is interested in understanding the mechanisms related to these systems and to extreme precipitation events associated with them, as well as how dynamic and thermodynamic changes caused by climate change are affecting them.
